They shine with thousands of colors, a light filled city
When I was lost in darkness, your warm eyes showed me pity
I need the glow of you freckled eyes they save me, their my gateway.

But the shadows came and whispered sweet lies into my ears
I didn’t know where to go, they didn’t wait for my decision, I swear...
The night swallowed me whole and took me to a place of nowhere
I was scared and alone, coldness and the emptiness showed me my fears.

I tried to come back...I did, but I could no longer return
I was not wanted anymore, for you could see the black emptiness in my eyes
It frightened you, I could tell, you yelled at me and told me of my lies
I wished you would look at me and show your concern

But you wouldn’t, your eyes refused to stay on me, it hurt
‘Look at me!’ I screamed ‘Please..don’t leave..’
You turned and ran into the light, I felt myself starting to grieve
The darkness wrapped around me once again, without effort
